WALLINGFORD - Robert D. Johnson, 71, of Ridgeland Circle, Wallingford, beloved husband of Glenna Martin Finn Johnson, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at their residence, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Born in Meriden, Nov. 26, 1935, a son of the late Clifford and Adele Kowalski Johnson, Bob was a lifelong Wallingford resident. He had been employed by the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Wallingford for 43 years, as a foreman, until his retirement and was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Wallingford Lodge No. 1365. Besides his wife Glenna, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah Johnson, Kathryn Flynn and her husband, Charles P. and Pamela Willis and her husband, Michael, all of Wallingford; his son, Robert D. Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Meriden; his stepchildren, Dawn Leno and her husband, Joseph of Wallingford, Donald Finn, PhD. and his wife, LaurieAnn of Chesapeake, Va., and Kevin Finn and his wife, Susan of Branford; five grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; his sister, Janice Graham of Kodiak, Tenn.; his two brothers, Wilbur Johnson of Wallingford and Donald Johnson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Joan Leno. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Monday, from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12 noon.
