TOPEKA, Kan. -- Mr. Larry Paul Smith, age 63, passed away on October 11, 2014, at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas. Larry was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, and lived most of his life in the Statesboro area until moving to Kansas eight years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Larry was preceded in death by his father, Paul Heyman Smith Jr.Surviving are his two sons, Raymond and Paul Smith of Kansas; a daughter, Anita Smith of Statesboro; his mother, Sara Collins Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Tammy Smith; and a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Simon Neville, all of Statesboro. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The graveside service and burial will be Friday, October 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Westside Road with Dr. Max Alderman and the Rev.
