Mr. John Herbert Bishop, 60, of Suwanee (Forsyth County), formerly of Roswell, passed away on May 20, 2009. Born in Roswell to John Arthur and Mildred Mozell Martin Bishop, he was a longtime resident of Roswell and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) #613. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Mozell; brother, William Bishop, both of Suwanee; sisters, Helen Elliott and her husband Jodie of Atlanta, Sheila Singley and her husband Dwight of Marietta; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Richard Bivins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jason Anglin officiating. Interment will be at Roswell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, from 3-9 p.m. at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory. Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory in Roswell is in charge of arrangements.
