LAFORTUNE, Monique Laurette (nee Gervais) - passed away peacefully at her home in Stroud on Tuesday February 17th 2009. Monique Lafortune in her 65th year was the beloved wife of Raymond Lafortune of Stroud. Loving daughter of Emmanuel Gervais of LaPasse and the late Yolande Gervais. Dear mother of Stephen of Barrie and Natalie Lafortune of Parry Sound and godmother of Shannon Beaudoin. Loving grandmother of Aniesa. Dear sister of Suzanne Gervais of Kingston, HughutteLachane and Bernie Berger of Pembroke, Joanne Gervais (David) of Kingston and Lorraine Gervais (Roland) of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Also survived by 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Pre-deceased by brother Joseph. Friends may call at the INNISFIL FUNERAL HOME 7910 Yonge St. in (Stroud) Innisfil on Thursday from 2-4 & 7- 9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Friday February 20th at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held in the spring at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in LaPasse, ON with interment at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Care Centre.
