WEAVER — Funeral services for Miss Sonya Michelle Smith, 25, will be at 11 a.m. today, August 13, 2009, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Allen Hudson and Benji Turley officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Miss Smith passed away August 10, 2009 at UAB in Birmingham. Miss Smith is survived by her mother, Nellie (Wendi) Smith, of Weaver; father, Dempsey Eugene Smith and stepmother, Jacklyn, of Dunedin, Fla.; sister, Salina Donalese Tevepaugh and husband, Anthony, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; stepsisters, Jamie Virginia Flanagan and Kelli Dora Flanagan, of Fla.; stepbrother, Matthew James Flanagan, of Montgomery; nephews, Blake Anthony Tevepaugh and Peyton Michel Tevepaugh, of Fla. Pallbearers will be Doug Smith, Matt Flanagan, Roger Fair, Jeremy Brown, Greg Bagley, Matt Morgan, Duane Methvan and Jeff Robison. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake Tevepaugh. Miss Smith was born in Germany and resided in Weaver. She was employed by Mellow Mushroom. She was of the Baptist faith.
