ANNISTON — Memorial services for Ms. Betty Ruth Edwards, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Berry Crowe will be officiating. Ms. Edwards passed away January 5, 2009, at Jacksonville Nursing Home. Ms. Edwards is survived by her sisters, Jane Stahl and husband, Charles Jr., of Mobile, June Dent and husband, Chauncey, of Hanover, Pa., Marie Podgurski, of Durham, N.Y.; brothers, Harry Edwards, of Kingman, Ariz., George Edwards of Gilboa, N.Y.; niece, Margaret R. Stinson; nephew, Richard Flor and wife, Sue; great-nieces and nephews, Donna Murray, Dina Lawson, Penny and Wes Pitts, Steve Hanford, Mike Hanford, Tracy Flor and Carol Eubanks. Ms. Edwards was a native of Gilboa, N.Y. and resident of Anniston since 1986. She was employed with Cigna Insurance Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Charles Edwards and Elizabeth Pearl Kelly Edwards; sister, Dorothy Day Flor; brothers, Jimmy and Harold Day.
