Mildred Yoak Williams, recently of Winston-Salem, N.C., died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. Shewas born December 8, 1923, in Clendenin, W.Va. Survivors include sons, Roger Jr. and his wife, Glenda, Bonita Springs, Fla., Ed, and wife, Sharon, Prospect Hill, N.C., and Paul and his wife, Tami, Lexington, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Donzel, and husband, Roger Sr. Mrs. Williams was a former employee of Kanawha Valley Bank in Charleston, W.Va., before moving to Astor, Fla., in 1972. She and her husband operated the concession and canoe livery at Alexander Springs from 1975 until 1985. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 13, at 10 a.m. at the Astor Cemetery in Astor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Arrangments are by Beyers Funeral Home, Astor.
