TUSCALOOSA Mildred Virginia Williams, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 20, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Ray Hallman and Bill Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ernest E. Williams; parents, W.B. and Annie Reeves; sisters, Jeanette Miller and Catherine Parsons, brother, Billy Reeves, son-in-law, Larry Moore; and granddaughter, Holly Rogers.Survivors include her daughters, Rita Moore and Melody Williams; sons, Donald Williams (Christine), Steve Williams (Dannette), and Chris Williams; a sister, Evelyn Shelton; a brother, Bobby Reeves; grandchildren, Jennifer White (Chris), Ray Moore, Amber Williams, Steven Williams, Isaac Williams, and Jake Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Chestnutt and Jackson Miles.Mom rose from humble beginnings with the love of her life of 60 years, husband Ernie, to raise a family of five children. She was always the life of the party, cooking for many and dancing to our family music and recording it. She was an avid league bowler for years and loved the Crimson Tide. Mom was always helping those in need and is now reaping her rewards, walking hand-in-hand with Dad in the presence of Jesus.Pallbearers will be Don Williams, Steve Williams, Chris Williams, Steven Williams, Isaac Williams, and Ken Morris.Honorary pallbearers are Sonya Jones, members of Unity and Hilltop Baptist Church, all of Mom's bowling friends, and the staff of Amedysis Hospice.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Unity Baptist Church.Condolences may be offered at www.memorychapelfuneralhome.com.
