Mildred Virginia "Mamaw Mick" Davis, 80, of Town Creek, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. The funeral service for Mrs. Davis will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at the funeral home chapel, with Kenneth Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Shaw Cemetery.Mrs. Davis was a Colbert County native, a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Methodist church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Andrew Davis; parents, Albert and Minnie Davenport; and brothers, William, Robert Lee and Woodsie Davenport.She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Childers Ross and husband, Dwight; former son-in-law, Doug Childers; brother, J.P. Davenport and wife, Etta Mary; sisters, Mozella Johnson, Nannie Garrett and Betty Crosswhite; grandchildren, Dougie Childers and wife, Sonya, Bridget Childers Bond and husband, Grant, Andy Childers and wife, Keitha, Brian Ross, Trina Reed and husband, Tony, and Lisa Ross; great-grandchildren, Justin and Santana Childers, Cody, Ben and Sierra Bond, Drew, Tyson and Ashton Childers, Leigh and Elizabeth Reed and Blake Ross; and a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Billy Akers, Don Berry, Danny Ray Davenport, Mark Chamblee, Daryl Wayne Johnson and Grant Bond.Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandsons.The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Webb and Hospice of the Shoals, Dr. Darin Bowling's office, Mid-South Home Health (especially Tammy Flanagan and Lori Mansell), Leighton Pharmacy and family and friends whose kind words, prayers and deeds helped us endure the last several months.
