IMC AgricoBARTOW -- Ms. Mildred Smith of Bartow died of cancer Monday (Jan. 19, 2004) at Good Shepherd Hospice. She was 65.Born in Ripley, Tenn., on Jan. 1, 1939, she came to Bartow from Tennessee 50 years ago. She was a retired washer operator for IMC Agrico. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow.Ms. Smith is survived by her companion, Don Wood, Bartow; daughters, Andewat Curry, Jo-Ann Crumity, both of Bartow; sons, Roy Smith, Bartow, Michael Smith, Winter Haven; sister, Martha Owens, Bartow; brother, Joe Owens, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow.
