LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Mildred Louise Rutter Smith of Lake Wales died of cancer Thursday (Sept. 26, 2002) at home. She was 79.Born in Mound Valley, Kan., on Dec. 11, 1922, she came to Lake Wales from Burnsville, N.C., eight years ago. She was a retired office manager for Lipton Insurance Agency in Miami and Hadley-Sloan Insurance in Pompano Beach. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and was active in the Goldenheirs Singing Group and Faith Sunday school class.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert F. Rutter; second husband, T.J. Lee Smith Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Lynanne Moomjian, North Fort Myers, Sheryl Benson, Henry, Tenn.; stepson, T.J. Lee Smith Jr., Kendall; brother, Earl Majors, Desert Hot Springs; four grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dade Memorial Park, Miami.
