LAKELAND -- Mrs. Mildred Smith of Lakeland died of heart failure Thursday (Aug. 29, 2002) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 91.Born in Milwaukee on July 8, 1911, she came to Lakeland 28 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beacon Hill Colony Association. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lakeland.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Hurbert C. Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Rossow, Lakeland; sons, Thomas Lee Smith, Milwaukee, Russell Hurbert Smith, Minocqua, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.Services will be held at a later date in Milwaukee.
