Mildred Ruth Smith <br/> SPARTANBURG, SC --> Mildred Ruth Smith SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mildred Ruth Smith, 74, of 101 Marion Avenue Apt. 18, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born September 15, 1939 to the late Mr. Will Smith and Mrs. Carrie Mae Cunningham. She was a native of Reidville, South Carolina. Ms. Smith retired from International Wire Corporation in Inman, SC. She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Vernon (Sylvia) Smith, Gene James and Carl Anthony Mayes; her daughters, Orphedella (James) Robinson; JoAnne (Benny) Drummond, Hattie Mayes and Deborah (Stanley) Wynn; her grandchildren, Vernon (Yolanda) Smith, Jr., Demarcus Smith, Twelvala M. Robinson and Tiffany M. Robinson; her eight great grandchildren; her two great great - grandchildren. Mildred Ruth Smith was preceded in death by: her brother; Mr. Wesley Smith and her sister, Mrs. Loualgia Palmer. A Celebration of the Life of Mildred Ruth Smith will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 502 South Daniel Morgan Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The Dr. M. Keith McDaniel, Sr. will officiate. Interment will be held in Allen View Methodist Church Cemetery, 110 Cunningham Circle, Reidville, SC 29388. The family will receive friends at the home of her son; Mr. Vernon Smith, 3 Drayton Court, Spartanburg, SC 29301 and at the home of her daughter; Mrs. Orphedella Robinson, 161 Carson Drive, Cowpens, SC 29330.
