Mrs. Mildred Pinckney Harris - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mildred Pinckney Harris, 86, entered into rest on Sunday March 1, 2009 at home under Hospice Care, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was a native of Savannah. GA and a life long resident of Garden City, GA. She was the daughter of Robert and Mattie Nalon Pinckney. She attended the public schools of Chatham County and was a graduate of Woodville High School. She was retired from the Chatham County Board of Education. She was a member of Living Hope Community Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Marjorie Chiles, and a son; Sammie Chiles, Jr. She is survived by four sons; Ricky Harris, Ronald Harris, Leonard Harris, and James Maurice Harris, all of Garden City Garden GA, one daughter; Jessica Harris, 21 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, 2 brothers; Robert (Barbara) Pinckney of St. Petersburg, FL, Melvin (Mary) Pinckney of Garden City, GA, a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other relations.
