SCOTIA Mildred M. Folk (nee, Potts), 62, of Scotia, surrounded by her loving family at Ellis Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2006, was taken into the arms of the Lord. Millie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Philip A. and Marjorie M. Potts Sr. She was a graduate of Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn. Millie married Charles J. Folk Sr. on March 16, 1962. Since 1973, they have been area residents where she was a loving Mom to her own children as well as many friends of her children. Millie's life was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Millie is survived by her loving husband Charles J. Folk Sr.; her devoted children, Charles J. (Chip) Folk Jr. and his wife Donna, Christopher Folk, Doreen Addington and her husband Kevin and Danielle Folk, all of Scotia, N.Y.; four cherished grandchildren, Kyle and Thomas Folk and Jesse and Kayla Addington; two brothers, Philip A. Potts Jr. and his wife Gertrude of Orange Park, Fla. and Jack Potts and his wife Ellen of Del Ray, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, John Dunleavy of Pine, Ariz. as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Millie was predeceased by her brother, James Potts and his wife Rose as well as her sister, Marjorie Dunleavy. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville with Deacon John Crane from St. Joseph's Church in Scotia officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Interment will take place in the spring in the Evergreen's Cemetery in Brooklyn.
