Mildred "Millie" "Ghia" Lee, 88, of St. Augustine died Dec. 20, 2011, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring.Ê Millie was born and raised in New York, moved to Florida in 1961 and resided in St. Augustine since 1977.ÊÊÊMillie volunteered in the Air Force during WWII.Ê She was an avid lover of horses, which led her to become a horse show judge.Ê Some of her other hobbies included bowling, going to the beach, fishing, watching football, spending time with family and friends and most recently, volunteering at Flagler Hospital. She was employed and retired from Publix as a cake decorator in 1991.ÊShe is survived by two sons and two daughters; Fred Siems of New York, Chris Siems, Barbara Rickards and Carol Butterfield of St. Augustine; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.Ê She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Ernest Lee.ÊA celebration of her life will be held at her home on Friday, Dec. 30, fromÊ6 to 8 p.m.Ê In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Bailey Family Center for Caring or the NE Florida Community Hospice.ÊCraig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial ParkÊis in charge of the arrangements.
