Mildred L. Smith, 82, of Springfield, went to be with her Lord on June 6, 2007. Mildred was born February 5, 1925, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Richard and Flossie Bradley. Mildred was united in marriage on June 22, 1941, to George W. Smith, who preceded her in death on April 7, 1995. She was a wonderful wife as she walked through life always by George\'s side as he worked his way through Bible School to answer God\'s call. Together they went on to minister God\'s Word in Neosho, Sedalia and Springfield for 38 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; and her beloved son, Danny. She is survived by three daughters, Diane Thomison and husband, Roger, of Springfield, Jeanie Simmons and husband, James, of Nixa, and April Roper, who lovingly cared for her at home. She is also survived by the many peoples\' lives who she touched and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was truly a gift from God. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening in the funeral home.
