Funeral Service will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Mildred L. Jackson, 94, who died Sunday, June 8, 2008. The Rev. Taylor Gallman will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.She was born Dec. 19, 1913, and was a member of Alabama City United Methodist Church. Mrs. Jackson was also a member of the Eastern Star.Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Harris; husband, Brewster M. Jackson; and sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Bowne.She is survived by her adopted family of 35 years, Bobby and Mary Minyard and Randy and Lisa Silvey; godchildren, John Silvey and Jamie (Jeremy) Steward; and great-godchildren, Jackson and Jayden Steward.The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
