Mildred K. ""Midge"" Wood, 82, of Lapeer, Michigan formerly of West Frankfort passed away at 12:35 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 in Lapeer. She was born January 18, 1932 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Paul and Mae (Williams) Kearney, but lived most of her life in Southern Illinois, where at on time she was involved with the SHARE Food Program. She moved to Michigan in 1999 and lived in Davison, MI. and most recently lived in Lapeer. Survivors include her sons, Bob (Melody) Wood of Ortonville, MI., Jim (Jackie) Wood of Cedar Lake, IN. and Scott Wood of Bourbonnais, IL.; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wood of Lawton OK.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Rena Kay Brookshire of Phoenix, Az. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank; grandson, Lonnie Wood; brother, Robert ""Cecil"" Williams, nephew, Robbie Brookshire and her companion, Hubert E. Blizzard. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2014 in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Jason Ishmael officiating.
