Mildred Jean Wood WELLFORD, SC-- Mrs. Mildred Jean Wood, 68, of 146 North Street, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, after a short illness. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the wife of Mr. James Wood and the son of the late Mr. Roy Edwards and the late Mrs. Annie Lou Edwards. Mrs. Wood was predeceased by two brothers, Mr. Willie Edwards and Mr. Charles Edwards; two sisters, Ms. Sarah Rhodes and Ms. Irene Edwards. Survivors, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Mr. Alex Pearson, Mr. Shaundricus Edwards, both of Wellford, SC, and Mr. Leroy Pearson of Duncan, SC; two step-sons, Mrs. James Wood of Spartanburg, SC, and Mr. Kevin Wood of Boiling Springs, SC; two daughters, Ms. Mildred C. Edwards and Ms. Taffy D. Pearson, both of Wellford, SC; one step-daughter, Ms. Sandra Evans of Washington, DC; three brothers, Mr. Fred Edwards of Landrum, SC, Mr. Robert Edwards of Spartanburg, SC, and Mr. Leroy Edwards of Campobello, SC; eight grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
