SMITH _ Mildred Gertrude It is with great sadness that the family announces passing of Mildred Gertrude Smith (nee Roberts) at the Lions Gate Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. on Friday, December 15, 2006, in her 86th year. She is the beloved wife of Desmond Hudson Smith. Beloved daughter of the late William George Roberts and Gertrude Roberts and predeceased sisters Winifred Power and Patricia Roberts. Greatly missed by her brother William George Roberts and his wife Theresa of Ottawa, ON; and her sister Hilda Margaret Burrows and her husband Harry of Kitchener, ON; her brother-in-law Murdo McCrae (Bud) Smith and her sister-in-law Sheila of Ottawa, ON. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. The funeral directors are Kingsway First Memorial Funeral Home, 1-604-876-5585. Mildred's Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Father George officiating on January the 12th, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Mildred is to be cremated and her ashes interment will be at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. As expression of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. After the Funeral Mass, you are invited to the Parish Hall for light refreshments.
