LAFORCE, Mildred E. Smith Peacefully on December 26, 2004 at Longfields Manor in Barrhaven, Ottawa at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Rupert and her only son Terrence. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Phyllis, son-in-law Bill Pomfret, daughter-in-law Lynn Wallingford Laforce and sister Irene (Bill Murphy). She devoted herself to her dearly beloved grandchildren Steven & Scott Pomfret (Katherine Wood) and Timothy (Johanna Kramer) & Shannon Laforce (Andrew Wilson). Recently due to her Alzheimers, she did not experience the joy that her 2 great-grandchildren Vincent and Faye would have brought her. Visitation will be held at Cadieux Funeral Home, 322 ave. de Buckingham, Gatineau (Buckingham sector) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. as well as Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St-Andrews United Church (Buckingham sector) followed by burial at the Church cemetery.
