<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Mildred Manning Bailey of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on July 24, 2013. She was born in Crenshaw County to Walter Leon and Julia Dolly Manning on December 29, 1925. She was raised in Rutledge, Alabama. In 1946 she married her husband John with whom she had two sons, John and Michael. With her husband, she traveled throughout the United States courtesy of the United States Navy. Upon her husband's retirement she lived in Selma, Alabama before moving to Montgomery. She was a charter member of McGehee Road Baptist Church where she served as Nursery Director for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and her husband. She is survived by her sons, John (Mary) Bailey of Selma and Michael (Cindi) Bailey of Gulf Shores; her sister-in-law, Susie Bailey Carnes; her grandchildren, Walter (Treasure) Bailey of Prattville, Beth (Scott) Egbert of Valley Grande, Michelle (Ross) Fuller of Decatur, and Emily (Trey) Chesser of Northport. Her great-grandchildren, Mary Kathryn and Brooke Egbert, Ethan and Tula Bailey, Annleigh Chesser, and Reagan Fuller also survive her.Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, July 27, 2013 from the chapel at Leak Memory Funeral Home with Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. Graveside service will be immediately following with Rev. Keith Gamble officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her grandson, grandsons-in-law and nephew, Jeff Evans.The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of the SICU at Baptist South Hospital for their care of Mildred.Online condolences may be made at www.leak-mc.com.
