She was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church in Mt. Olive. She worked for Jefferson Federal Savings and Loan, Montgomery Realty and retired from the former AmSouth Bank, mortgage department in Nashville, TN. She lived in the Brentwood and Nashville areas of TN for over 30 years, before moving back home to Gardendale in 1999. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Earl Carroll; sister, Peggy Bentley (Calvin) of Huntsville, AL; brother-in-law, James E. Carroll (Doris) of Orlando, FL; sisters-in-law, Ellen Jeanette Lindsay of Gardendale, Betty Aaron (John) of Mt. Olive, Fay Carroll of Prattville and Ann Carroll of Moody. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1 p.m., from the chapel of Gardendale Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Griffis of Beechwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
