Mr. Michael Wayne Smith - ELLABELL - Mr. Michael Wayne Smith, 52, passed away on Thursday June, 26th, 2008 at his residence under the care of Hospice of Savannah. Mike was born in Bulloch County; he retired from the International Longshoreman Local 2046 in September 2007. He enjoyed riding his Harley and camping and fishing. Mike was a very loving and devoted husband, daddy, papa and brother. Mike enjoyed having his family and friends around him. He was preceded in death by his parents; George Smith Sr. and Indie Smith, brothers; John "Buddy" and George "Mandy" Smith. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sue Wilson Smith of Ellabell, daughters; Suzy Smith and her fiancŽ Paul Mallon of Ellabell, Angelique (Buddy) McLamb of Ellabell, Sons; Allen (Elaina) Cason of Pembroke, Michael Paul (Raegan) Smith of Mont Eagle, TN. Grandchildren; Michelle and Emily Smith of Mont Eagle, TN, Jeffrey Cason of Savannah, Amy(J.R.) Roberts of Fleming, Stephen and Jennifer Cason of Savannah, and their Mother Glenda Cason of Savannah, Lewis (Jessica) McLamb III, William, Raquel and Tracy McLamb, all of Ellabell, and Steven Dowd of Pembroke, Sisters Edith Meyer of Savannah, Bernice (Jesse) James of Pooler, Lois (Ken) Morrell of Ellabell, Patricia Wilson of Bloomingdale, Roy (Lousie) Smith of Ellabell, Sister in laws and Brothers in law are Faye (Johnny) Cobb of Faulkville, Earl (Nancy) Wilson, Joe Wilson, Henry (Jane) Wilson of Savannah. A special thank you to Dr. Steven Corse, Dr, Frederick Weber and their staff, and Hospice of Savannah for all the loving care they gave to Mike. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 6-9 p.m., at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 28th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ash Branch Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cousins; Steve Smith, and Jeff Davis, Grandsons; Jeffrey Cason, Stephen Cason, Lewis McLamb III, and William McLamb. Honorary Pallbearers are Members of ILA local 2046.
