Michael Seth Henderson Michael Seth Henderson, 61, of Lindenwold, died Friday morning, Feb. 26, 2010, at Cooper University Hospital, in Camden. Mr. Henderson was born in Cambridge, Md., and moved to Newport as a child. He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1966, and went on to attend Glassboro State College and Pepperdine University. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He worked in the Youth Services department at Fort Dix for over 25 years and retired from his position as youth services director in 1998. Mr. Henderson was a passionate cook, voracious reader and lover of opera and classical music. His zeal for storytelling, conversation and meeting new people, along with his gregarious, witty and generous nature left a deep impression on all who knew him. Mr. Henderson was a caring husband, father and brother. Mr. Henderson, son of the late Margaret (nee Gallagher) Henderson and the late Harry L. Henderson, is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 38 years, Betty Timmons Henderson, of Lindenwold; his daughter, Elizabeth Henderson, who resides in New York City; and his two sisters, Christina Gale, of Dorchester and Louise Hollenweger, of Cedarville. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and close family friend, Susan Ford, of Newport. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration of Mr. HendersonÕs life on Saturday afternoon, March 6, at 1 oÕclock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., in Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in MichaelÕs memory to Mullica Hill Friends School, 15 High Street, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062.
