PETERS, MICHAEL PATRICK, 56 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at his residence with loved ones by his side. He was born March 8, 1950 to Robert Warren and Audrey June Peters in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a decorated Marine having served in the Vietnam War. He was part owner of Kentucky Kustom Cycles; retired from the U.S. Postal Service, a graduate and on the Deans list of the University of Louisville; loved his dogs and cats, and riding his motorcycles. Most of all he loved his wife and family. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Robert Peters; his father, and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Michael is survived by his wife, Susan Peters; son, Daniel Peters; stepson, Christopher Ridge (Jenni); stepdaughter, Lyndsay Stevenson (Manny); mother, Audrey Peters; three sisters, Jackie Bridwell (Bob), Barbara Ruby (Robert), Mary Merker (Russell); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Peters will be Celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 197 Plum Street, Shepherdsville. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks; Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd. Mr. Peters will be cremated after his services.
