December 22, 2003 Michael J. Doran, 56, of Syracuse, died December 22, 2003 at Community General Hospital. Mr. Doran was born in Syracuse, March 28, 1947, the son of the late John and Bernadine (Sheehy) Doran. He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School, Auburn Community College, Georgetown University and Lemoyne College. Mr. Doran retired from Niagara Mohawk in 2002. He was previously employed in the assessment Departments of the City of Syracuse and the Town of Geddes. Mr. Doran was a member of the Calvary Club of Manlius, Pastime Club and the American Legion Post #1832. He was a read out Volunteer at WCNY. Survived by his wife, Laura R. Sinicropi Doran; one daughter, Meaghan R. Doran; one son, Michael (Conlon) Doran; a sister, Maureen T. Doran of Sandwich, MA; one brother, John (Sean) Doran; three nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services are 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Burial is in Onondaga Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at 1628 W. Genesee St. Edward J. Ryan & Son, Inc.
