Michael G. "Smitty" Smith of Wexford, Pa. Michael G. "Smitty" Smith, age 47, of Pine Twp., Wexford, Pa., died unexpectedly on Sunday evening, January 13, 2008. Born in Johnson City on June 11, 1960, he was the son of Gerald and Mary Kilpatrick Smith of Endicott. He was a Systems Analyst for Accenture Consulting at Highmark. He attended both St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars, Pa. and St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Wexford. In addition to his parents, surviving are his loving wife, Jeanne McGowan Smith; a son, Vincent Smith; two daughters, Stacey and Jill Smith, all at home; two brothers, Tom Smith and his wife, Lydia, Nichols, and Patrick Smith, Lexington, S.C.; two sisters, Gerri Mayer, and her husband, Art, Barton, N.Y. and Mary Shunk, and her husband, Steve, Willow Springs, N.C. Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, Pa. on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kilian R.C. Church, Mars, on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles Bober, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Twp. Memorials may be made to an Education Fund for the benefit of the Smith children, payable to Independent Controllers, 101 W. Mall Plaza, Suite 205, Carnegie, Pa. 15106, or to the Building Funds at either St. Kilian Church, P.O. Box 394, Mars, Pa. 16046, or to St. Alphonsus Church, 201 Church Rd., Wexford, Pa. 15090.
