Michael Lee Carter, 62, formerly of Easley, and resident of the Burton Center, a school for special needs, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008.Born April 19, 1946, in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Mae Joyce Carter. Michael was a very special person and loved by all who knew him.He leaves behind many dear friends at the Burton Center and in his hometown. He is survived by many family members who will also miss him dearly.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2008, at 3 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, with Reverend Bobby Caldwell and Reverend Michael Clary officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the mortuary.Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W.
