Melissa Renee Parks Brown SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ms. Melissa Renee Parks Brown, of 5095 Daniel Morgan Ave., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was the wife of Mr. Charles Brown. Melissa was the daughter of the late Tommy Parks and Mrs. Ida Ruth McCollum Parks. She was a native of Spartanburg County. Survivors include one brother, Kelvin (Linda) Parks, Sr. of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Michelle (Robert) Thompson of Roebuck, SC, Melinda Parks and Brenda Talley of Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. M. Keith McDaniel will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home of her sisters, Michelle (Robert) Thompson at 130 Laynewood Dr., Roebuck, SC, and the home of Melinda Parks at 327 Caulder Ave., Spartanburg, SC. J.W.
