Melanie Parker September 5, 1976 - April 30, 2009 GROTON - Melanie Sue Parker, 32, 140 Walker Hill Rd., Groton, entered eternal life on Aril 30, 2009. She was born September 5, 1976 the dau-ghter of Gerald and Karen (Cuenin) Par-ker of Gris-wold. Melanie grew up in Groton attending local elementary school and Fitch Senior High School. She moved to Griswold in 1992, graduating from Griswold High School class of 1994 and later from Ridley Lowell Institute. Besides her loving parents she is survived by her Paternal Grandmother, Julia Parker of Groton; uncles and aunts; Ralph and Yvonne Cuenin, Jr., Linda and Michael Edwards, Donald and Martha Parker, Joanne and Erick Walters; her former husband and best friend, John Kexel and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Michael Parker. Maternal grandparents, Ralph and Anne (Parisi) Cuenin, Sr. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening. Interment is private. Memorial donation in her memory to Forgotten Angles Sanctuary, 442 Rixtown Rd., Griswold, CT 06351.
