YOUNG, MAXINE LOUISE - It is with great sadness that the Young family announces the sudden and unexpected death of Maxine Louise Young of Deer Island, NB, which occurred at the Saint john regional Hospital on January 11th. Born at Lubec ME on December 20, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Ferne (Lord) Richardson, wife of Raymond Stanford Young of Hibernia Cove, Deer Island. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Maxine is survived by her husband, Raymond; three daughters, Faye (Harold) Doughty of Leonardville NB, Teresa (Cecil) Richardson of Fairhaven NB and Joan (Mark) Thompson of Fredericton NB; four sons, Allison (Heather) Young of Lamberts Cove NB, Mark Young (Sue Beaman) of Hibernia Cove NB, Brian (Karen) Young of Lords Cove NB and Ralph Young (Lisa Miner) of Lords Cove NB; 16 grandchildren, Jason, Melanie (Reid), Hillarie (Charlie), Jim, Tristen, Maria (Kevin), Devon (Jessica), Brittany (Jeremy), Dustin (Manda), Sarah, Sabrina, Tabatha, Sheena, Ryan (Sarah) Ashton (Adam) and Spencer; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Jaiden and Lincoln; two sisters, Catherine (Don) Stuart of Richardson NB and Eleanor Thurber of Fredericton NB; one brother, Dale (Lacy) Richardson of St. Stephen NB; mother-in-law, Mildred Young; brother-in-law, Gary Young (Susan Lambert); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Norinne Miner; one brother, Dean Richardson; and two great-grandchildren, Bodhi and Payton. Maxine loved gardening, feeding the birds, playing the piano and listening to her favourite Christian radio programs, Bible. She enjoyed taking morning walks and was dedicated to lovingly caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lords Cove. She will always be remembered by family and those who knew her, as a generous and giving person who always took time to be there for others. Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, from where the service will be held on Monday at 2:00 with the Rev. Joel Bridges and Rev. Conrad Cline officiating. Interment to follow at the Leonardville Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
