Maxie Lee Williams, age 90, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008. Mrs. Williams was a member of West Hall Baptist Church in Oakwood and First Baptist Church of Mount Juliet, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Lucian Luther and Myrtle Smith Eakes. Mrs. Williams also was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Greta (John) Kellams of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; son, Dr. J. Michael (Robbie) Williams of Gainesville; brothers, Bud Eakes and Hoyt Eakes, both of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Lavonia Tooker of Spotswood, N.J.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Bond Memorial Chapel with Dr. J. Michael Williams, the Rev. Matthew Williams and the Rev. James Locke officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be The Builders Sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Mount Juliet.
