SARATOGA SPRINGS - Maureen N. Morris, of Saratoga Springs and formerly of Carriere, Miss., passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011. She was 85. She was born to Harry J. Douglas and Winifred Heard Douglas in Ottawa, Canada, and was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, William J. Morris Sr., who died in 2006. While residing in Mississippi, she was involved in the Byrd Chapel and United Methodist Church of Carriere, Miss.She is survived by three sons, William. J. (Linda) Morris Jr. of Clifton Park, John J. (Frances) Morris of Cleveland, Tenn., and Douglas R. (W. Kaye) of Paris, Texas; six grandchildren, Stephen, Kevin, Timothy, Kirsten, Jason and Christie; six great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Andrew, Katelyn, Elizabeth, Victoria and Marianna; and many close friends from her many years in Mississippi.Services will be held at the William. J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway (584-5373), with visitation for family and friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 12, 2011.Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery on Weibel Avenue in Saratoga Springs, followed by a memorial service for all of her new friends and family of Woodlawn Commons.In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen's name may be made to the Wesley Foundation, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.Online remembrances may be made at www.burkefuneralhome.com.
