ALLEN, MATTIE PEARL, 85, passed away February 14, 2011. She was a retiree from Evans Furniture Store, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge (Ruthites #37) and a member of Greater First Peter Baptist Church. Survivors are her children, Ramona Carter, Patricia Wells, William Pulce Jr. Sharon Allen and Jeannie Muir; stepsons, Curtis, Clyde and William Allen; siblings, Dora Pulce, Josephine Mask, Katherine Sanford and Ann Gibbs; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral is noon Saturday at her church, 2001 Auburn Dr., with burial in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday at G.C. Williams Funeral Home.
