Mattie Lou (Elmore) Graham, daughter of John and Hallie (Copening) Elmore, was born August 5, 1922, in Niangua, Mo., and departed this life on November 5, 2006, at Webco Manor in Marshfield, Mo. At the time of her passing she was 84 years of age. Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Darrell Shaddy and her second husband, Paul Graham; two sisters, Gladys Bailey and Ruth Montgomery; two brothers, John and Lloyd Elmore; and one daughter-in-law, Sandy Shaddy. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Long and husband, Clyde, of Lebanon, Mo.; one son, John Shaddy of Conway, Mo.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Conway, Mo., with Rev. Steve Strauss and Bill Brown officiating, under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield, Mo. Burial will be at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Niangua, Mo. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, November 6, 2006, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Prospect Baptist Cemetery Fund.
