Mrs. Mattie Brown - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Mattie Elliott Reedy Brown, 78, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family under Hospice care. She was a native of Savannah, GA. She was a member of Royal Church of Christ where she served as the Church Mother, and on the Usher Board. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #9. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, Jr., one son, Allen Elliott, three sisters, Helen Elliott, Evenlyn Taylor, Laureen Elliott, three brothers, twin- Matthew Elliott, James Reedy, and Harold Elliott. Survivors: two daughters, Cynthia Elliott and Sheri Purvis, 10 grandchildren, six great grands, one niece, Gwendolyn Chislom (Frank), two sisters-in-law, Lillian Smith and Gladys Brown, one aunt, Isabell Roberts, a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
