Matthew Ronald White 1977-2015 With very heavy hearts and deep sadness, the family announces Matthew’s passing at his home in Markham, Ontario on June 25th, 2015 following a strong and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 9th, 1977. Matthew started his boxing career at the Golden Gloves Boxing Club in Saint John, and pursued his career when he moved to Ontario where he became a professional boxer under the name Matthew "Pain" White. Matthew attended Simonds High School where he played football for the Seabees. Matthew loved boxing, fishing, his family and his many friends. We will miss him dearly. Matthew was a loving son to Frank (Wendy), and Marlene Ferron of Niagara Falls, ON. True love to Shantelle Crewe of Markham, ON. Beloved brother of Brian Christiansen (Stephanie), and Amanda Mitchell both of Niagara Falls, ON. Uncle to Savanna, Kaiden and Teaghen. He is also survived by his grandmother Anna Clare Best and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends can call at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424) for visitation on Friday, July 10th from 5pm-7pm. A Memorial Service with take place from the Brenan’s Chapel after visitation at 7pm with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the IWK.
