Mary Ross Wall, 80 of Woodruff, S.C., died November 2, 2007. Born July 14, 1927, in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Dacus Eugene Ross and Augie Loftis Ross. Mary retired from the B.J. Workman Memorial Hospital in 1992. Mary will be remembered for fulfilling Christ's command to "love your neighbor as yourself." She demonstrated her love by serving others as a member of Woodruff First Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher, a Girl Scout Leader from 1950-58, a volunteer with the United Way, a member of the B.J. Workman Auxiliary, a Member and Past President of the Garden Ella's Garden Club and as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul N. Wall, who passed away June 25, 1973. Surviving are a son, John Charles Wall and his wife, Jane Bartsch Wall, of Greenville; a son, Dacus Wall of Germantown, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Charles Andrew Wall of Clemson, and Elizabeth Ross Wall, and Katherine Jane Wall of Greenville. After her husband's death, she worked to enable her two sons to attend college. In retirement, Mary enjoyed her roles as "Bamma" to her three grandchildren and loving friend and neighbor to many. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 11 to 2 p.m. at the Lanford Funeral Home, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff, SC (864) 476-3101.
