Mary-W. Davis, née en 1916, conjointe de Wyatt-Aiken-Davis Sr, fille de Benjamin et Mallie-Gambrell, est décédée le 5 février 2002 à l'âge de 86 ans.
Mary Lou Whaley Davis, 86, of 7915 White Horse Road, died Feb. 5, 2002. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mallie Gambrell Whaley and t widow of Wyatt Aiken Davis Sr. Mrs. Davis was retired from Oakmont Nursing Center and was a member of Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Nanny". Surviving are three daughters, Sara D. Campbell and husband W. Leon, of Greenville, Mary D. Holden and husband John D., of Jacksonville, Fla., and Judy D. Bentley of Greenville; three sons, William "Bill" E. Davis and wife Faye, of Fair Play, Jimmy A Davis and wife Nancy, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Wyatt A. "J.R." Davis Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy "Tim" DeShields. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral service: 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with interment at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at their respective homes.
