<!-- FH = Greenlawn Funeral Home East -->Mary "Skippy" Virginia JohnsonMary "Skippy" Virginia Johnson passed away peacefully Thursday evening, March 14, 2013, at 7:55 pm. Skippy was born on January 24, 1931, one of 4 daughters born to Thomas Branson and Mildred (Young) Branson. She spent all of her life in Springfield, MO where she married the love of her life, Kenneth Johnson, in July of 1947. Skippy absolutely loved her career at Kraft Foods where she retired after over 30 years of being a devoted employee. Many will remember Skippy for her delicious Peanut Brittle, her sincere and loving heart, and her strong relationship with Christ. She will be deeply missed by anyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her loving husband, Kenneth Johnson; her father, Thomas Branson; her mother, Mildred (Young) Branson; her sisters, Patty Hughes and Betty Holly; and her son, Ronald Johnson. Those surviving her include her sister, Emily Barton, of Senora, Cali.; her brother-in-law, Mickey Hughes, of Capitan, New Mexico; her sister-in-law, Karan and husband, Tom Barrett, of Cyprus, Texas; her son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Kim Johnson, of Willard, Missouri; her granddaughter, Jessica Johnson and grandson, Cody Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. with services at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
