Mary Veronica (Saduikis) Ricci, formerly of Milton and Braintree, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2011, at age 92, in Ft. Benton, Mont., after a long illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1919, in South Boston, and was married to Angelo A. Ricci, a World War II Army veteran, for 41 years. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mary worked for the Quincy and Braintree school systems for 30 years as a secretary, at East Middle, South Jr. High, the Noah Torrey School, and Quincy Vocational Tech. She retired in 1992. Previously, she worked for the Quincy Secretarial Service in Quincy Square. During World War II, she was employed by the Watertown Arsenal. Mary was a devout Catholic, a member of the parishes of St. Agathas and St. Elizabeths in Milton, and St. Clare Church in Braintree. She was creative and talented in the arts. She enjoyed sewing and rug-hooking and was an avid gardener. She loved animals and was an enthusiastic supporter of the S.P.C.A. She was unselfish, had a quick wit, and was beloved by all who knew her. She is survived by her two daughters, Audrey Ricci Kincaid of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Phyllis Ricci Knudson of Ft. Benton, Mont.; also five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Two sons, Alfred Arthur Ricci and Ronald Anthony Ricci, preceded her in death. She is also survived by two brothers, Leonard Saduikis of Wenham and Francis Sanders of Marshfield. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Braintree Cemetery.
