Funeral for Mary Tommie White, 87, of Decatur will be Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh M.B. Church with Elder J.D. Smith officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Sterrs Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.Mrs. White died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Huntsville to Sam and Louise Robinson Bailey Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh M.B. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will White Sr. Survivors include sons, Clarence White and Ivory J. White, both of Chicago, Carnell White of Atlanta, Toney White of Houston, Thomas L. White of Huntsville, Will White Jr., John White and Danny White, all of Decatur; daughters, Estelle Cohen of Detroit, Sam E. Garrett, Viola Jackson, Alberta White and Phyllis Scott, all of Decatur; 36 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
