Mary Thorbs Wilson Mary Thorbs Wilson, 86, of Monticello, Fla., died Monday. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 9, 2009, at St. Phillip AME Church in Monticello, with burial following at the church cemetery. Viewing/visitation will be from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. EDT at Tillman Funeral Home in Monticello (850-997-5553).A retired owner of a caretaking facility, Mrs. Wilson was a native of Live Oak and spent the majority of her life in Monticello. She and her late husband, Mose, were the proprietors of the old Space Age Club in Waukeenah. She was a member of St. Phillip AME Church. Bidding farewell to their beloved mother and matriarch are her sons, retired Sgt 1st Class Willie James (Barbara) Rivers of Winter Haven, Fla., James Lee (Kim) Wilson and Lavern (Elvira) Wilson of Monticello; daughters, Gloria W. Monroe of Monticello and Wanda Faye Wilson of Thomasville, Ga.; daughters-in-law, Annette J. Wilson of Monticello and Bernice Wilson of Marianna, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.Preceding Mrs. Wilson in death were her husband, Mose Sr.; and sons, Mose Jr. and Joe Arthur.
