Mary Thompson Davis, 82, died quietly after a short illness on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Visitation is on Tuesday, May 25, at 10 a.m., with services at 11 a.m. at R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home, 235 W. 72nd St., New York City. She will be interred at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, N.J. Mary was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander Davis and Molly Murray Davis of Philadelphia. After moving to New York City she had a long career in the fashion industry in Manhattan. Mary leaves to cherish precious memories, cousins, Kae Thompson Payne, Pat Thompson Joyner, Eric A. Payne, Gina Payne Scott, Kristi Payne Benitez, Kim Joyner Wortman, Anthony Joyner, Wilhain A. Thompson, Mark Thompson, and Suzanne Thompson; niece, Lobita Brewer, and friends, Karen Austin, Marguerite Wolfe, Beverley Reynolds, Vannie Frederick, Dios Camacho, Josephine Muldrow, and Pauline Stannard. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
