Mary T. Fitzgerald (nee McCormack), 79, passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, in the Canterbury at Cedar Grove. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, N.J., on Monday at 9 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield at 10 a.m. Interment is in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield. Born in New York City, Mary lived most of her life in Bloomfield and the last 13 years in Whiting, N.J. She was a customer service rep for Midlantic Bank in Bloomfield, retiring in 1993 after many years. Mary was a longtime school crossing guard for the Town of Bloomfield. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mary was the wife of the late Thomas J. Fitzgerald; mother of Mary Zubicki and her husband, Thomas, of Kearny, N.J., and Catherine T. Sambroski and her husband, Michael, of Bloomfield, and grandmother of Patrick M. Sambrowski and Kathryn Zubicki.
