Keefe, Mary T. CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. Mary T. McDonald Keefe, 81, of Woodin Rd., Clifton Park, died Monday, October 12, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital, embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Lenore Maloney McDonald and beloved wife of the late John J. (Jack) Keefe. Mary grew up in Cohoes and was a graduate of Cohoes High School. She was a resident of Clifton Park for over 50 years. Mary was a resourceful employee with the Cohoes Public Library, where she continued volunteering at the library in her retirement. She was talented in crafts and ceramics, enjoyed gardening and watching the birds visiting her many bird houses in her yard. She is survived by her sisters- in-law, Helen (Robert) Stopera and Madeline (William) Janis; brothers-in-law, Neil (Mary A.) Keefe and Daniel (the late Katherine) Keefe; and many dear and special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jack McDonald (surviving niece and nephew, Carol Ann McGivern and Rory McDonald) and Skip McDonald (surviving niece and nephew, Tara (Kevin) Van Buren and Michael McDonald); sisters-in-law, Catherine Bottum, Margaret (Peggy) Reed and Johanna Janis Van Vranken; and her brother-in-law, William Keefe. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes Thursday morning at 9 o'clock with Reverend Lawrence G. McTavey officiating. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
