Mary Thelma "Mai Thelma" "Tag" Oldham Jackson, 84, Clarksville, died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. C. R. Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Elizabeth Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Foston Funeral Home with family present 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Foston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 30, 1924 in Montgomery County, TN., the daughter of the late James Oldham and Birdie Johnson Oldham. She was the widow of Robert C. Jackson. She was a member of Woodlawn Elizabeth Baptist Church where she served on the mother's board, prior member of senior choir. Served as Church Clerk and Secretary for 28 years. She retired from Fort Campbell Club System as a Cook. Survivors include her children, Birdie (William) Cody, Atlantic City, N.J., Berthenia Cross, Patricia (Rev. Lucius) Smith, Frank (Haydee) Dowlen, Bob Dowlen, all of Clarkville, TN., 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
