Mary Frances McReynolds Smith, 91, of 103 S. Warwick Road, quietly passed away July 4, 2004, at home after a short illness.Surviving are her husband, Morgan L. Smith, of the home, and her daughter, Dorothy Smith Signal, and her husband, Will Signal, of Palo Alto, Calif.Born in New Albany, Mich., she was the daughter of the late William Teague and Eulalah Harris McReynolds of that area. She received her education at Girls High School and Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga.She was an employee in the advertising department and was librarian of the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, Ga., until her marriage to Morgan L. Smith in December of 1944.She served as president of the Woman's Missionary Society of First Baptist Churches in Augusta, Ga., and Greenville, and as a teacher of Burnett Bible Class in Greenville. She also served in other leadership positions in First Baptist Churches in Atlanta, Ga., and St. Petersburg, Fla.She was formerly president of the Premier Federated Literary Club in the state of Georgia, The Philomathic Society of Augusta. She was also president of the Rotary Book Club in Greenville.At the time of her death, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, and the Agape Bible Class. She was also a member and former moderator of Circle #11 in the Women of the Church.Funeral service and visitation: First Presbyterian Church, Dr. Randolph Kowalski and the Rev. Tim Leslie officiating today, July 6, 2004, at noon. Interment: West View Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga., at a later date.Please omit flowers.
